Marc Jacobs Spring 2017 ad campaign “The Muse” was shot by photographer David Sims. “Few things remain as constant as my continued inspiration from those whose honesty, integrity, courage, and curiosity lead them to explore and venture beyond preconceived boundaries,” Marc Jacobs says of his latest collection.
But, WHO is “the muse”? Meet Marc’s muse, Frances Bean Cobain, in his Spring 2017 campaign celebrating her authentic irreverence.
“I’m representing what a general, standard, average human girl would look like wearing these clothes. I think that’s why Marc picked me for this,” Frances Bean Cobain says of her starring in the campaign.
Marc Jacobs shared the stunning ad campaign on Facebook and said, “I first met Frances Bean when she was 2 years old at a dinner with her mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC. I have always wanted to work with Frances. Her beauty, uniqueness, and strength is something I have long admired and respected.”
