So take a look and get a full look transformation now!
Created by Trish Summerville, the designer behind the costumes of David Fincher’s version of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, the 30-piece women line from H&M contains lots of unique, effortlessly cool items, all of which perfectly reflect the anti-heroin of the movie, Lisbeth Salander, played by actress Rooney Mara. Darky, edgy and fierce, the H&M ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ Collection is sure to appeal to young and creative fashionizers, who aren’t afraid to stand out with their distinctive style.
“We put a lot of aged-in washes and finishes, which goes along the lines of the Salander character. In the film, her clothes are quite extreme. They’re really worn down, they’re dirty. So for us, it was taking that kind of concept and giving it more of a realistic fashion feel,” Trish Summerville said.
Every item featured in the H&M Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Collection is extremely versatile and wearable, and allows a myriad of mix-and-matching possibilities. There are burgundy or black leather jackets, coats, loose t-shirts, comfy hoodies and tank tops with the Swedish proverb “What Is Hidden In Snow Comes Forth In The Thaw” imprinted on them. To fully imagine yourself in your favorite movie, think tomboy style that meets goth-punk. Go bold and try numerous show-stopping combinations with these relaxed, yet filled with lots of attitude items.
In addition to all those cool clothing pieces, the H&M Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Collection also features lots of one-of-a-kind accessories. “I wanted the collection to have the essence and strength of Salander, with a fashion edge, and I’m pleased with the result! My goal is for women to find pieces in it that they love and then mix them with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style,” Summerville said.
Although the H&M the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Collection is set to hit all the 180 H&M stores worldwide and the online market on December 14, a week before the film is released in the US, all those of you who live in or visit Paris will be able to purchase your favorite items from the line at the high-priced edgy Paris boutique Colette starting November 28.
